AGU 2016 Fall Meeting session proposals due April 20

Time is running out!  Session proposals for the 2016 AGU Fall Meeting are due on April 20, 2016.

The Natural Hazards focus group encourages group members to develop ideas and communicate them to the program committee.  Like-minded sessions can be integrated together or scheduled appropriately as to not overlap each other.  Sessions may be geared around any of the study areas of the NH group, including droughts, earthquakes, fires, flooding, heat waves, landslides, space weather, storms, tsunamis, volcanoes, impact by near-Earth objects, and related geophysical hazard events.  Please send your ideas for session proposals to Ramesh Singh (rsingh@chapman.edu).

One example of an overarching topic is regarding the impacts and responses of the 2015-1016 ENSO event.  Work is ongoing by NH members to develop and link together multiple sessions from within and across focus groups on this topic.  If you submitting an ENSO related session proposal, especially if related to the 2015-2016 event, please contact Upmanu Lali (ula2@columbia.edu) or Roger Pulwarty (roger.pulwarty@noaa.gov).
